Groove Daddies were formed in 1990 by Gary and Jeff from the ashes of A Flock
of Tooters . Way before that, Gary was in the Reindeer Army
(that'll take you back), Brian was in Cats On Holiday, Jeff and
Ed were in Big Business, Sean was in The Reign, Greg was
in Time Machine and Greg Glick Band. In the last 20 years they've played all
the major (and some not so major) fairs, festivals, celebrations,
expositions, commemorations, memorializations, frolics, fetes, fiestas,
balls, bacchanals, jubilees, jamborees, hullabaloos, hooplas,
hootenannies, galas, sprees, shindigs, wingdings, bashes, blasts, and
blowouts hosted here in the tri-county area. They've also played in
bars. A lot of bars. Some of them are still open for business.
Generally, all this accounting is only interesting to chroniclers of rock
lore, so if you really want to know one of the guys' history, just come
up to him at a show with a beer and ask him what he remembers. Goals
We're still waiting for one of those lucrative beer sponsorships to
come our way, but so far Guinness isn't returning our calls. Former
